- Space
- Medical
- Military and DoD
- Industrial equipment
Our state-of-the-art systems and expertise deliver hard-anodized aluminum alloy parts that meet rigorous quality standards and tolerances. We offer fully ROHS-compliant Type III anodizing. We’re ITAR registered and have a Federal Firearms License.

A Complete Range of Hard Anodizing Solutions
For maximum performance, hard anodizing must meet project and industry specifications precisely. Type III anodizing layers range from 0.0005 inches to 0.003 inches.
We help our clients select the right mil-spec finishes (MIL-PRF-8625) for every part:
- Type III, Class 1 (non-dyed)
- Type III, Class 2 (dyed) black
We also offer a PTFE-impregnated hard anodized layer (MIL-A-63576 Type I) that offers enhanced lubricity and wear resistance for parts subject to friction.
Hard Anodizing for Demanding Applications
Hard anodizing is used for industry applications that require lightweight, strong, and durable components:
- Conveyors, hoists, cylinders, gears, and heavy machinery parts
- Exterior and structural components
- Electronic components for the power industry
Hard anodizing is usually paired with high-performance aluminum alloys, such as 6061 and 7075.
Benefits of Type III Anodizing
Hard anodized aluminum has a thicker protective layer. As a result, it offers greater hardness, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, thermal shock resistance, and electrical insulation.
